Cam Newton is one of the good guys.
The Carolina Panthers quarterback heard about a Halloween party being thrown for a child who is battling cancer, so he decided to crash the party — with an ice cream truck in tow.
The party was for a 10-year-old boy named Elijah, who is battling a rare form of cancer. Needless to say, his gesture of kindness went over well, especially with Elijah’s mom.
“As a mom it absolutely melts your heart,” Becky Hughes, Elijah’s mom, told WCNC. “It brings tears to my eyes.”
