Chris Bradford of the Beaver County Times noted coach Mike Tomlin said Heyward was undergoing further evaluation for the pectoral issue Tuesday. The defensive lineman later took to Instagram with an update, stating: "It pains me to say that I will not get to continue playing this season:"
Heyward missed time earlier this year after injuring his hamstring.
