The Jets made a big investment in their secondary this offseason by signing Darrelle Revis, Antonio Cromartie, Buster Skrine and Marcus Gilchrist to overhaul a group that struggled last season.
They also added Leonard Williams to an already talented defensive line, leaving them well stocked at both the front and back end of their defense. Skrine was so impressed by what he saw during the team’s offseason practices, in fact, that he came close to taking a page from Vince Young’s book of things you shouldn’t call a team based on offseason signings.
