The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have released former All-Pro defensive tackle Gerald McCoy.
McCoy, who turned 31 in February, has started at least 13 games in each of the last seven seasons for the Buccaneers. The third overall pick in 2010, McCoy was due $13 million this year and more than $20 million over the two years after that ... but none of that money was guaranteed. The Bucs save all $13 million with this move and take on no dead money in the process.
