Punter Spencer Lanning lost his job with the Browns when they traded for Andy Lee, but he didn’t have to wait long for a chance with another club.
Greg Auman of the Tampa Bay Times reports that the Buccaneers have claimed Lanning off of waivers. The Bucs own the top position on the waiver wire because of of their poor 2014 record and Lanning joins safety D.J. Swearinger and linebacker Khaseem Greene as vets added to the roster via waivers this offseason.
Lanning punted for the Browns the last two years and has a net average of 38.
