The Browns have another member of their draft class in the fold.
The team announced Monday that they have signed sixth-round defensive back Charles Gaines to his four-year rookie contract. Gaines switched from wide receiver to cornerback early in his career at Louisville and may have used his insight into life as a pass catcher to develop strong coverage skills. The Browns have a lot of options at corner in front of him, especially if Justin Gilbert shows progress, so Gaines may need to make a special teams impression to stick in Cleveland.
