DENVER -- Denver Broncos defensive coordinator Wade Phillips was taken from the sideline on a backboard Sunday after he was knocked to the ground during Broncos cornerback Bradley Roby's interception return for a touchdown.
A team spokesman said Phillips was taken to a local hospital in an ambulance, adding that he was alert and moving all extremities and would undergo further tests.
The team later announced all of Phillip's precautionary test results were normal so far.
Roby intercepted a tipped pass with just over nine minutes remaining in the second quarter of Sunday's 27-19 win over t the Chargers.
