Geno Smith rejoined the New York Jets on Monday, less than two weeks after suffering a broken jaw in a locker room altercation with then-teammate IK Enemkpali. While only a spectator at practice, Smith’s presence brought up another round of discussions regarding the incident, something the Jets would prefer to leave in the past, if what Brandon Marshall claims is accurate.
The Jets wide receiver said during an interview on “The Rich Eisen Show” that the team has instituted a policy where any talk of the Smith incident — or any other topics that could potentially cause distractions, for that matter — will result in the team being penalized with running laps.
