Brandon LeFell: I have to 'step up' with injuries to WRs

FOXBORO, Mass. — Injuries have ravaged the New England Patriots’ receiver corps so much this season that Brandon LaFell is the lone healthy wideout to catch a pass from Tom Brady last season left in the offense.

Danny Amendola (knee) reportedly won’t play in Sunday night’s matchup with the Denver Broncos, Aaron Dobson (ankle) was placed on injured reserve this week and Julian Edelman (foot) was ruled out Friday. That leaves LaFell and rookie Chris Harper as the only fully healthy receivers. Keshawn Martin, who has missed five consecutive games with a hamstring ailment, increased his practice reps this week, according to a source.
