Vikings Running Back Adrian Peterson -- Knee (surgery)
Minnesota Vikings coach Mike Zimmer confirmed on Wednesday that running back Adrian Peterson will be undergoing surgery on Thursday to repair his torn meniscus. It is unclear whether or not Peterson will heal in time to play again this season. The Vikings signed veteran Ronnie Hillman to back up Jerick McKinnon and Matt Asiata.
The Vikings also placed offensive lineman Matt Kalil on IR with a hip injury, which means he will be out for at least eight weeks.
