The Seattle Seahawks may have come up just short in winning another championship at Super Bowl XLIX earlier this year, but Boeing is doing its part to announce on behalf of the “12th Man” that the team is “In it to win it!” this upcoming season.
Boeing unveiled a brand-new 747-8 freighter on Monday that features Seahawks livery. It is the second time in as many years that the company, once headquartered in Seattle and remains one of the city’s largest employers, has gotten behind the Seahawks.
Ahead of team’s appearance — and win — in Super Bowl XLVIII, a 747-8 freighter dressed up in Seahawks livery actually flew a course around the Seattle area in a flight pattern shaped as a “12” in a nod to the moniker given to the team’s rabid fan base.
