Rex Ryan continues to collect former Jets, but this one never broke Geno Smith’s jaw.
The Bills announced that they had signed veteran cornerback Ellis Lankster, releasing cornerback Lavelle Westbrooks to make the roster spot.
Lankster was originally a seventh-round pick of the Bills in 2009 out of West Virginia.
But he spent parts of the last four seasons with Ryan and the Jets, giving him the appropriate entry point to being a Bill again.
While he may not have the news value of IK Enemkpali, he joins a parade of coaches and players moving north and west to stay in the AFC East.
