Bills about to break their season-ticket sales record

It’s not just Bills players and former players who are hyped up about the coming season.

Their customers are buying in, too.

According to Vic Carucci of the Buffalo News, the Bills are close to announcing that they’ve broken their season-ticket sales record.

The old mark of 57,132 was set in 1992, back when the team was good.

Interest has waned in recent years — as a 15-year streak of not going to the playoffs has been known to diminish fan enthusiasm.

But with Ryan whipping the crowd into a frenzy, Hall of Famer Thurman Thomas predicting a playoff berth and a rush of big-ticket acquisitions this offseason, there’s optimism in Western New York, such that there hasn’t been in years.
