The Chicago Bears and running back D'Andre Swift agreed to a three-year, $24 million contract Monday.
ESPN's Adam Schefter reported the deal contains $15.3 million in guarantees.
Swift spent his first three seasons with the Detroit Lions, flashing breakaway skills but never turning in a year of fully healthy football, before heading to the Philadelphia Eagles last season.
Swift will be the presumed leader of a backfield that already included incumbent Khalil Herbert and 2023 fourth-round pick Rochon Johnson:

RB1: D'Andre Swift
RB2: Khalil Herbert
RB3: Rochon Johnson
RB4: Travis Homer (cut candidate)
In Philadelphia, Swift was given every opportunity to be the unquestioned RB1.
