Bears must take page out of Saints’ playbook to down NFC’s best team

The last time the Bears saw Teddy Bridgewater, the then-Vikings second-year starter was ringing up a career-high 154.4 passer rating in his third consecutive victory in that NFC North rivalry en route to Minnesota’s first division title under head coach Mike Zimmer.

Now the New Orleans Saints’ interim starter, Bridgewater improved to 4-0 Sunday in Jacksonville in place of an injured Drew Brees.

So if the Bears, who are hoping to welcome Mitch Trubisky back to the starting lineup following his two-game absence with a left shoulder injury, are catching a break by not seeing the NFL passing champion Brees on Sunday, – and there’s zero doubt that they are – Bridgewater apparently missed the memo.
