Barkevious Mingo missed Browns practice with a mystery injury

The Browns were without former first-rounder Barkeviovs Mingo in practice Wednesday, though no one knows why.

According to Mary Kay Cabot of the Cleveland Plain Dealer, Mingo wasn’t on the practice field and “is being evaluated for an unspecified ailment or injury.”

Browns coach Mike Pettine would only say he’d know more Thursday about Mingo’s condition.

The outside linebacker spent last season playing hurt, harnessing up a torn labrum which required offseason surgery. He managed just 2.0 sacks, hardly the return they were expecting when they used the No. 6 pick in the 2013 draft to take the LSU pass-rusher.
