Jason Pierre-Paul has been on the receiving end of a heavy dose of criticism for the horrifying fireworks accident on the Fourth of July that left the New York Giants defensive end with hand injuries so severe that he had his right finger amputated. Rolle, who signed a three-year, $11.25 million contract with the Chicago Bears in March, posted a heartfelt message on Instagram dedicated to his friend and former teammate.
The post, featuring an image of Rolle and Pierre-Paul embracing with the words “Teammates… Champions… Brothers…” overlaying the photo, the safety defended his friend by writing:
This is just a message so you all can take it however you want….
