In 2013, the Chiefs threw the NFL a bit of a curveball, taking tackle Eric Fisher over tackle Luke Joeckel with the first pick in the draft. The good news is that Joeckel hasn’t become a star. The bad news is that Fisher hasn’t, either.
But the Chiefs haven’t wavered in their faith in Fisher. Coach Andy Reid expressed a high degree of confidence in Fisher during an appearance this week on PFT Live on NBC Sports Radio.
“I played that position so I know how that works,” Reid said. “We’ve been happy with Eric’s progress, he was a young guy coming out from a small school, and every year he’s gotten better.
