The Oakland Raiders are one of the surprise N.F.L. teams of 2015. With a 2-1 record, they have a winning record after three games for just the second time in the last 11 seasons (the Raiders also began 2011 with a 2-1 record).
In Week 1, Oakland was embarrassed in a fashion that has become all too familiar in recent years. The Raiders’ 33-13 loss to the Cincinnati Bengals was their 35th loss by at least 20 points since the start of the 2005 season, the most in the N.F.L.
But the Raiders surprised the Baltimore Ravens last week, and continued that success Sunday against the Cleveland Browns.
