An Offensive Look At The Indianapolis Colts’ 2016 Draft

Have Grigson and the Colts turned it around with their drafts?

Earlier this year, I criticized the Indianapolis Colts’ front office’s talent acquisition, including their drafts in the Grigson Era. Following a phenomenal 2012 draft class in which they acquired a number of starters, General Manager Ryan Grigson has had far less success in subsequent drafts. While it is unfair to judge Grigson’s draft in hindsight only and consider these to be poor decisions, his picks were considered underwhelming even at the time of the drafts.

His refusal to properly address the team’s biggest weaknesses and his insistence on taking players in the first round with more raw talent than skill caused Colts fans (like myself) to heavily scrutinize Grigson’s drafts.
