Throughout Coughlin’s 12 years in New York, discussion about whether or not he will be fired has lasted longer than coverage of his Super Bowl wins.

In Week 1 of the 2015 NFL regular season, the New York Giants suffered a brutal loss to the Dallas Cowboys, their division rival. The opening week loss was due in no small part to horrible clock management and a defensive meltdown. So from the very beginning of the football year, Tom Coughlin was already on the hot seat. Nothing new for Coughlin—this is a position he has been in for what seems like the majority of his 12 seasons as the head coach of the Giants.
