There was some rustiness after a layoff that stretched for more than a month, but Raiders quarterback Derek Carr said his return to throwing got better as Tuesday’s practice progressed.
Carr estimated he had taken 30-40 days away from throwing as a result of a right ring finger injury, a break he called “kind of hard” despite teammates telling him to relax and recover because they weren’t going to win any games in May or June. Carr took the time off, though, and the result was Carr being in top condition upon his return to the field.
