There is one thing that seems to be clear in the NFL: a consistent running game results in a solid football team. No matter how much of a “passing league” it may become, running the football still is, and always will be, incredibly important.
Why? Because since football was invented, one thing has remained the same: if your team can run the football, your passing game opens up. The longer your offense is on the field, the more rest your defense gets, which leads to a fresher defense on the field. It all comes down to the running game, and in this years draft, there is a truly great runner in Derrick Henry.
