Former Miami Hurricanes head coach Al Golden is moving on to the next phase of his career, agreeing to terms with the Detroit Lions as the team's tight ends coach.
Lions senior writer Tim Twentyman reported the news of Golden's new gig on Monday, as the 46-year-old tries to bounce back after Miami dismissed him in the middle of the 2015 campaign.
Golden posted a 32-25 overall record with the Hurricanes, which wasn't good enough to remain at such a powerhouse program. He previously helped Temple gain relevance on the college football scene as its head coach.
