Kam Chancellor’s holdout from training camp reached its 20th day on Wednesday with no apparent resolution in sight.
Chancellor has stayed away in hopes of getting a better contract from the Seahawks. Meanwhile, the Seahawks appear extremely unwilling to address a contract that still has three years remaining.
Chancellor can be fined $30,000 a day and the Seahawks can now recoup 25 percent of his prorated signing bonus for this season. He’s now racked up $600,000 in daily fines and $250,000 can be recovered from his signing bonus, bringing the total amount to $850,000. However, all fines are at the team’s discretion and could be waived if Chancellor reports to camp.
