AFC Championship breakdown: Patriots vs. Chiefs

When the Patriots have the ball: The Patriots ground out 31 first downs in the first meeting, as Tom Brady only made a handful of mistakes (including a fumble) in mostly carving up the Chiefs’ secondary. He won’t have as deep a pass-catching unit this time, with Josh Gordon (5-42-0 receiving on nine targets) out of the picture. But Brady still has firepower if Sunday’s win over the Chargers is any indication.

Sony Michel was a workhorse in the first Chiefs matchup and in the Chargers game, and James White was a go-to receiver last week.
