Adrian Peterson wants to clear the air about his gastrointestinal issues.
The running back popped up on the Minnesota Vikings’ injury report Sunday with a stomach bug, and FOX’s broadcast reported Peterson was ill after accidentally swallowing his chewing tobacco on the bumpy plane ride to Detroit. But Peterson told the Chicago Bears’ media Wednesday that it was just a little shrimp allergy that caused his troubles.

While it is very possible to have minor food allergies, Peterson should know not to risk eating anything that could cause a reaction the day before a game.
