Sanders is currently without a team after the Jacksonville Jaguars released him on July 17. In his two years with the Jags, the 23-year-old wideout recorded 57 receptions for 539 yards and a touchdown. He also returned 57 punts, picking up 367 yards.
This is the second time the league has punished Sanders. He missed four games last year after a violation of the NFL's substance-abuse policy.
"I decided to seek the help that I need," said Sanders last year with his suspension on the horizon, per ESPN.com's Mike DiRocco. "Hopefully somebody can help me out, and I should be fine.
