New York Jets star Aaron Rodgers questioned the utility of the NFL's mandatory minicamp after he missed the team's workouts while on a trip to Egypt.
During an appearance on Pardon My Take, Rodgers contrasted the offseason schedule now with what it used to be when he played for the Green Bay Packers. He said that "it's not minicamp" now because the volume of workouts is much lower (via The Athletic's Zack Rosenblatt).
"They can arbitrarily put a tag on whatever week of OTAs they want and say this is the minicamp week which makes it more mandatory than the other weeks," he said.
