Aaron Glenn is one of the most popular head coaching candidates of this year's cycle, but he quickly ruled out coaching one of the team's hoping to talk to him.

The Detroit Lions' defensive coordinator declined the New England Patriots' request to interview him for their head coaching vacancy. On Wednesday, Glenn explained that it had less to do with the team and more to do with the situation.

"I've never felt anything against that organization," Glenn told reporters. "It just wasn't the best situation for me."

Glenn has interviewed with the Chicago Bears, Jacksonville Jaguars, Las Vegas Raiders, New York Jets and New Orleans Saints.
