David Njoku is a superb athlete with very little experience. In a loaded TE class, will he be a 1st rounder?
The U has been a factory for athletic tight ends over the years. After churning out names like Jeremy Shockey, Kellen Winslow, Greg Olsen, and Jimmy Graham, it is now David Njoku’s turn.
Pros
Simply put, Njoku is a fantastic athlete. A former high school national high jump champion, Njoku unsurprisingly dominated the Combine, posting a 37.5” vertical and a 133” broad jump (98th percentile for TEs since 1999). Njoku’s shows this explosiveness on the field as he is a rare home threat from the tight end position.
