The Sports Quotient’s annual Draft Preview series returns! Over the course of the 10 weeks leading up to the 2016 NFL Draft, we will take a look at the top NFL prospects at each position. This sixth week, the focus is on cornerbacks. Our cornerback prospect is Xavien Howard from Baylor.
Collegiate Career
Coming out of high school, cornerback Xavien Howard was a zero star recruit, according to 247 sports. However, Howard did make enough of an impression on the Baylor coaching staff, which offered him a scholarship. After redshirting his true freshman season and serving as a reserve the following year, Howard became a starter in 2014.
