The NFL season is coming to an end with only two regular-season games left and the AFC playoff picture has already become pretty clear with only 10 teams still alive. The Patriots, Steelers, and Jaguars have already clinched playoff spots, but what will the final playoff picture look like? Here are our predictions for the AFC:
1) New England Patriots (11-3)
The Patriots are in the top seed following their win over the Steelers in Pittsburgh last weekend, and I don't think they'll lose again this season, ensuring they keep the top spot.
2) Pittsburgh Steelers (11-3)
Pittsburgh's in a tough situation. They need to win out and have the Patriots lose a game for them to get the top seed, but if they finish with a worse record than Jacksonville over the last two games, they'll drop to the three seed. That said, I think they'll win out and keep the two seed.
3) Jacksonville Jaguars (10-4)
With games against the 49ers and Titans left on the schedule, it's very easy to see the Jaguars winning their last two games. Still, because we have the Patriots and Steelers winning out as well, they don't move up from the three seed.
4) Kansas City Chiefs (8-6)
After beating the Chargers in Week 15, Kansas City has a great chance to win the AFC West. They already have a one-game lead over the Chargers and don't face a team with a winning record for the rest of the year.
5) Baltimore Ravens (8-6)
Baltimore is going to be the team that gets into the postseason as the five seed. With two easy games remaining - vs. Indianapolis and vs. Cincinnati - they will earn a bid at 10-6.
6) Tennessee Titans (8-6)
Tennessee has two tough games remaining against the Rams and Jaguars. The Bills - who are the other team fighting for this spot, also have two tough games against the Patriots and Dolphins. However, both of Buffalo's games come on the road, while the Titans get both at home. That will give the edge to Tennessee.
