Vince McMahon announced this week that he is relaunching the XFL, gimmick-free, in 2020. The league will feature an eight-team, 10-week season format and will present an opportunity for notable players who are not on NFL rosters to continue playing football.
Host Cam Rogers of the Cam Rogers Show breaks down potential players for the newly revamped XFL. Cam does mention Johnny Manziel as a potential player, but McMahon noted that he will not allow players with criminal records (although it remains to be seen if there will be an exemption for someone of Manziel's stature). Cam also talks about a potential Brett Favre comeback or maybe Tim Tebow making a return to pro football.
