The 2018 NFL Combine is over, and plenty of players created buzz including: running back Saquon Barkley, quarterback Josh Allen and linebacker Shaquem Griffin. All eyes are on the NFL Draft. Performances at the Combine can help in determining athleticism and can help or hurt a player's draft stock.
Josh Allen performed admirably -- showcasing his tall, athletic build as well as delivering deep throws to receivers in stride. Allen has been projected as high as number one overall. Meanwhile, Saquon Barkley demonstrated his abilities by bench-pressing 225 pounds for 29 repetitions, ran the 10-yard sprint in 1.54 seconds, and recorded a 40-yard dash time of 4.40 seconds.
Other players didn't perform as well. Quarterback Josh Rosen struggled with ball placement and general accuracy. He especially had trouble with out-breaking routes such as posts. Offensive tackle Orlando Brown showed slowness and little athleticism during his drills. His 14 bench-press repetitions were 4th worst among all offensive linemen.
