Jadeveon Clowney, Duke Johnson, Leonard Williams, La’el Collins & Chris Harris are the subjects of the latest NFL trade rumors surrounding the league. NFL Daily host Tom Downey breaks down five potential trades that could go down in the NFL in 2019. NFL free agency has died down & the only way for teams to significantly upgrade their roster are through trades.
Jadeveon Clowney is holding out of the Houston Texans OTAs in hopes of landing a massive contract extension. However, the Texans might not be willing to pay up due to his injury history & inconsistency on the field. Duke Johnson reportedly requested a trade after the Cleveland Browns signed Kareem Hunt after his release from the Kansas City Chiefs, resulting in Johnson being demoted to 3rd string RB.
La’El Collins will be a free agent in 2020 & the Dallas Cowboys might not be able to compete with offers from other NFL teams, so Dallas might attempt to trade him now to avoid losing out on some serious trade value. Chris Harris is in the middle of contract extension talks with the Denver Broncos, but there’s no guarantee that deal gets done. And if Harris doesn’t get a new deal, he’s made it clear he wants out of Denver. So what teams could try to trade for him.
