Week 2 of the NFL season wraps up with tonight, but another week of upsets and blowout has brought about plenty of excitement. However, as is usually the case after season openers, teams are facing plenty of new questions - some due to injuries. Here are the latest news and rumors from across the league:
49ers QB change?
Blaine Gabbert struggled mightily in the San Francisco 49ers' blowout loss to the Carolina Panthers on Sunday, but according to Matt Barrows of the Sacramento Bee, he's in now danger of losing the starting quarterback job to Colin Kaepernick.
Blaine Gabbert remains the 49ers' starting quarterback a day after he threw two late interceptions, completed fewer than half his passes and had trouble sustaining drives.
"He's our starter. I've got a lot of confidence in Blaine," Chip Kelly said Monday, a day after his team fell 46-27 to Carolina. "We're not thinking or talking about not having Blaine in there. It's about everybody on offense playing better right now."
Gabbert was 17-36 for 243 yards with two touchdowns, including a 75-yarder to tight end Vance McDonald. The 49ers' push for a fourth-quarter upset, however, fizzled when Gabbert threw interceptions in San Francisco territory on consecutive drives.
Gabbert is averaging 5.8 yards per pass attempt; The only starter with a lower average -- 5.7 yards -- is the Rams' Case Keenum.
Kelly also blamed some of Gabbert's struggles on San Francisco's inability to run the ball, as the team finished with just 65 yards on the ground.
Gabbert has completed 54.3 percent of his passes this season for 413 yards, three touchdowns and two interceptions. He also has 12 rushes for 53 yards and a touchdown.
Browns to add another quarterback?
The Cleveland Browns are set to start their third quarterback in as many games this coming Sunday, as rookie Cody Kessler gets the call due to injuries to Robert Griffin III and Josh McCown. As such, head coach Hue Jackson said the team is looking to sign another veteran quarterback to add to the mix and provide depth to the position.

Cleveland hasn't said who they're interested in, but they also aren't expected to make a trade for a quarterback. Here's a list of four veteran free agent quarterbacks the Browns could sign.
Latest on notable injuries
The injury bug hit several teams noticeably hard on Sunday with key players going down. Adrian Peterson suffered a torn meniscus in the Vikings' win over the Packers on Sunday, but head coach Mike Zimmer said the team isn't ruling him out for next weekend's game.
Elsewhere, the San Diego Chargers lost their second player for the season due to a torn ACL. Danny Woodhead suffered the injury in their win over the Jaguars just one week after star wideout Keenan Allen was lost for the year.
For the Denver Broncos, star pass rusher DeMarcus will miss the next 4-5 weeks after having surgery on his broken arm.
