Eli Manning Breaking Records
The New York Giants and Eli Manning are breaking records this season. Seriously, that isn't a typo. Now the records are good but they are still records. Manning is on pace to shatter the New York Giants single-season sack team record. He has been sacked eight times this season and is on pace to be sacked 64 times this season. 64 TIMES?! That Giants offensive line is a Giant issue. The current Giants sack record is 55 set by Phil Simms in 1984.
Aaron Hernandez CTE
The former New England Patriots tight end Aaron Hernadez's lawyer announced a lawsuit against the NFL. The CTE Center at Boston University said Hernandez had stage three of the disease. There are four stages with four being the worst. Hernandez was 27 years old and committed suicide back in April in his prison cell where he was serving his life sentence.
The lawsuit filed in U.S. District Court claimed that the Patriots and the NFL failed to protect their players' safety, leading to the disease that deprived Hernandez's daughter of her father's companionship.
Jets Tanking
According to New York Jets owner, Christopher Johnson Christian Hackenberg has a lot of upside. Hackenberg apparently may get some reps over the next few weeks. This is following a 45-20 loss to the Oakland Raiders. There have been NFL rumors surrounding the Jets tanking on purpose and starting Hackenberg would be the cherry on top. Hackenberg hasn't shown any signs of being able to play quarterback in the NFL and didn't even dress in Week 2.
