NFL free agency is still active, although most of the big names are off the market. However, there are several quality players left on the market that could turn out to be bargains for teams, and several players who could be traded. Although the NFL Draft is less than a month away, there will continue to be plenty of NFL free agency rumors, news and speculation in the coming days. Check out the latest and greatest of those offseason rumors below.
UPDATE: 5:40 p.m. ET
The Broncos and 49ers have agreed to a Colin Kaepernick trade, but Denver still needs to re-work Kaepernick's contract.
Broncos Met With Kaepernick
The Colin Kaepernick trade speculation simply will not die. On the day that the 49ers QB's $11.9 million base salary became guaranteed, Kaepernick was meeting with Broncos general manager John Elway, reports the San Francisco Chronicle. Elway lives in the Denver area, with Kaepernick going through his rehab in Vali, Colorado, about 100 miles away from Denver. The Broncos are still working on a trade for Kaepernick and a restructure of his contract. However, there are still issues in a trade.
Issues remain same w/ #Broncos & Kaep. Elway wants him to take about a 50% pay cut for 2016, #Niners want more than Broncos willing to give.

Kaepernick's salary becoming fully guaranteed does not prevent him from taking a pay cut. While the Broncos are still working on a deal, they'd need to clear cap space to take on Kaepernick's deal, since they have just $1.62 million in cap space. The most likely way the team will do that is by cutting or trading OT Ryan Clady, a move that will clear nearly $10 million in space. If Kaepernick is traded, it will likely be to the Broncos, with at least one report saying it will happen at some point.
Jets Have Backup Plan At QB?
The New York Jets have yet to re-sign QB Ryan Fitzpatrick, as Fitzpatrick is demanding more money than the Jets are willing to give. Because of that, the Jets are working on backup plans in case they can't bring back Fitzpatrick.
With the Fitzpatrick situation not getting resolved, #Jets are working on contingency plan framework (including Mike Glennon).

Glennon has been linked to several trades in the past, but the Buccaneers aren't going to give up a cheap, quality backup QB for nothing.
Scott Chandler's Career May Be Over
The New England Patriots cut TE Scott Chandler earlier this offseason, and his career might now be over, based on a tweet from Chandler's wife.
Blessed beyond measure by this man that I get to call my husband. Looking forward to many more years and adventures. pic.twitter.com/67sB7nawHF

The 30-year old spent most of his career with the Bills. He was a fourth round pick in the 2007 draft by the Chargers and also spent time with the Cowboys.
Browns Cut CB Ifo Ekpre-Olomu
Before suffering an awful knee injury, Ifo Ekpre-Olomu was in the mix to be a first round pick. However, he slipped to the seventh round because of that injury and the team that drafted him has now cut him.
The #Browns released second-year CB Ifo Ekpre-Olomu, whose devastating knee injury robbed him of being a first-round pick and obviously more

While Ekpre-Olomu showed talent at Oregon, his career might be over since the Browns waived him with the non-football injury designation. That's a clear sign he hasn't recovered from his knee injury.
