Concussions and head injuries have become the NFL's most pressing issue over the last few years, and despite the various rule changes and safety precautions put in place, they're still occurring at a high level.
In the 2017 season, over 250 concussions were reported.

In the above video, courtesy of YouTube user Field of Vision, data artist Josh Begley tracked these injuries and broke down the concussion protocol used across the league.
Other injuries were also up across the NFL this season as we saw several marquee players suffer season-ending injuries, including Eagles quarterback Carson Wentz, Cardinals running back David Johnson, and Texans quarterback Deshaun Watson.
