The NFL and NFLPA have agreed on changes to the league's drug policies, and the agreement will be officially announced by tomorrow morning. Here's how it affects players who were recently suspended for violating the league's old substance abuse policy:
Josh Gordon, Cleveland Browns: Suspension reduced to 10 games - will be eligible to return Sunday, Nov. 23 vs Atlanta
Wes Welker, Denver Broncos: Eligible to play immediately
Orlando Scandrick, Dallas Cowboys: Eligible to play immediately
According to Jason La Canfora of CBS Sports, "about 7 players" had their suspensions impacted by the updated policy. La Canfora was first to break the news of the new agreement. Gordon pleaded guilty to DWI today, but as ProFootballTalk reported, the plea will NOT affect the length of his suspension.
