The Oakland Raiders and St. Louis Rams have been among the teams rumored to be moving to Los Angeles, and know the NFL acknowledged that those two teams are very interested in moving for the 2015 season during last week's owner's meetings in Dallas, according to CBS Sports.
Eric Grubman, the NFL executive overseeing the LA initiative for the league, stressed that the NFL will continue to dictate the relocation process and it will be the league's decision on who moves to Los Angeles and what the timeline will be.
Rams owner Stan Kroenke has made his strong desire to move his team to Los Angeles known in league circles, and he's become frustrated with how slow the process is moving.
The San Diego Chargers are less interested in relocating, but with the Rams and Raiders being so forthcoming in their wishes to move, it's placed additional pressure the Chargers to handle the situation smoothly and be prepared to move if the NFL wishes.
Oakland and St. Louis don't have stadium leases beyond this year.
Raiders owner Mark Davis has toyed with the idea of moving to San Antonio, but that option seems remote as it's extremely unlikely two-thirds of the owners would sign off on the move.
The deadline for teams to file for relocation is February.
