A betting website is taking advantage of the attention Richard Sherman is getting from fans, and the lack of attention he's getting from opposing quarterbacks.
Bovada.lv, an offshore betting site, is offering a prop bet on how often Sherman will be targeted by Philip Rivers and the Chargers on Sunday.
"Is that legal?" Sherman asked reporters when told about the bet. "I'm flattered, but it doesn't make much sense to me. As a ballplayer, if you don't get the ball, you don't have as much impact. I need the ball."
Bovada has the over/under set at three passes. While he's frustrated about the lack of passes headed his way, he has no intention of switching sides to cover his opponents #1 WR - Sherman calls that "disrespectful" to fellow CB Byron Maxwell.
