The opening week of the 2015 NFL season is full of exciting and intriguing games, but some matchups are just a cut above the rest. Here are the top four games of Week 1:
1) Pittsburgh Steelers at New England Patriots
The defending champs open the season at home against a Steelers team many expect to be New England's biggest challengers in the AFC. Both teams will be without their starting running backs (Le'Veon Bell, LeGarrette Blount), but the return of Tom Brady after having his Deflategate suspension lifted will provide this game with plenty of intrigue.
2) Baltimore Ravens at Denver Broncos
Going up against a determined Peyton Manning at any time during his likely NFL swansong is a recipe for an offensive fireworks display. It's going to be tougher playing him on the road in a season opener with a giant offseason-sized chip firmly planted on his shoulder.
Both teams have Super Bowl aspirations, and the chances of reaching the playoffs dip drastically if a team loses it's season opener - giving the loser an uphill battle to even reach the postseason.
3) Tennessee Titans at Tampa Bay Buccaneers
This will be the first time in NFL history that the top two picks in the draft will be starting against each other on opening day, making this a special occasion. Jameis Winston and Marcus Mariota should put on a show.
4) New York Giants at Dallas Cowboys
Giants at Cowboys in the season premiere of Sunday Night Football? YES please. If the Giants want to reclaim the NFC East crown, beating the defending division champs on their home turf in Week 1 isn't a bad way to start. For Dallas, their quest to get to the Super Bowl would get a big boost with a win over a division rival.
