With the 2018 NFL Draft only two weeks away, the NFL Draft rumors are starting to churn. One of the most intriguing prospects in the draft is Louisville Cardinals quarterback Lamar Jackson. The dynamic quarterback has drawn comparisons to Michael Vick and for good reason. Jackson carried the Cardinals, lighting up the stat sheet and winning a Heisman Trophy in 2017. So, which three teams are the most likely to select Jackson in the 2018 NFL Draft?
NEXT READ: Lamar Jackson 2018 NFL Draft Scouting Report: Strengths, Weaknesses And Player Comparison
1.) Arizona Cardinals
The Cardinals signed Sam Bradford this offseason, but he isn't the long-term solution in Arizona. Bradford hasn't played a full 16 game season since 2012 and missed 14 games last season due to multiple knee injuries. The Cardinals have shown interest in a quarterback and if Jackson is sitting there at pick 15, they may draft him.
2.) New England Patriots
Tom Brady is 41 years old and will no longer be the man under center for the Patriots at some point. New England traded Jimmy Garoppolo to the San Fransisco 49ers and Jacoby Brissett to the Indianapolis Colts last season, stripping them of any depth. In essence, New England went from having two solid backups to having an old veteran in Brian Hoyer. Drafting a young and talented quarterback that can learn from Brady will benefit this team down the road and could be why they acquired another first-round pick. If they trade up, it will be to draft a signal-caller.
3.) Pittsburgh Steelers
Quarterback Ben Roethlisberger isn't getting any younger and contemplated retirement at the end of last season. The 35-year-old has battled injuries throughout his career, playing only three full 16 game seasons in his 14-year career. Backup quarterback Landry Jones isn't the answer for the Steelers future, so don't be surprised if the Steelers draft Jackson if he falls to Pittsburgh at pick 28.
