Tyrone Mings' new season got off to a nightmare start as the Aston Villa defender was stretched off just 30 minutes into their opening day clash with Newcastle.
The defender was chasing a loose ball alongside the Magpies Alexander Isak, when Mings tumbled and immediately seemed in distress.
The fall look to have been caused by an injury to his knee as the 30-year-old grabbed for it as hit the ground and looked to be in immense pain.
As Mings failed to get back to his feet, Villa's medical team rushed onto the pitch to attend to the nasty leg injury, with players from both sides alerting the medical staff that a stretcher was required.
