Paul Heckingbottom slammed the ‘unacceptable’ display of his Sheffield United players - and admitted his future is beyond his control.
The Blades suffered their worst-ever Premier League defeat during Sunday’s 8-0 hammering at home to Newcastle.
Mail Sport revealed last week that former United boss Chris Wilder is in line for a return should the club decide to change manager, and Heckingbottom said: ‘If it’s anything to do with my future, you’re asking the wrong person. I can’t answer that. You get used to the stories.’
Newcastle scored five times in the second half, and Heckingbottom added: ‘A lot of the things I saw in the second half I’ve never seen here.
