Robin Gosens has revealed that his transfer offer from Newcastle could have 'provided for a few more generations of his family'.
The left wing-back was linked to Newcastle in the January window and the newly mega-rich club were reportedly ready to triple the 27-year-old's wages as they looked to bolster their squad ahead of the relegation battle run-in.
Despite their lucrative offer, the Toon missed out on landing the German, who impressed at Euro 2020, as he preferred a loan move to Inter Milan from Atalanta.
Gosens has now revealed that he did consider Newcastle's offer but it was not enough to lure him to Tyneside.
