Rafa Benitez has confirmed he is staying on as Newcastle manager after owner Mike Ashley promised to give him 'every last penny' the club generates this summer - and that could be as much as £100million.
The Spaniard will now set about rebuilding his squad for life in the Premier League and has been working on a list of transfer targets since January.
However, there remained the danger that Benitez could walk away had guarantees over budget and control not been forthcoming from Ashley.
Those fears have now been allayed and supporters are celebrating the news that Benitez and Ashley have reached a swift agreement just three days after their side clinched the Championship title.
