Rafa Benitez has given insight into his obsession with football management, revealing he started his career aged just 13 and still watches matches when he returns home after finishing his working day at 8pm.
A typical day for the Newcastle boss sees him busy at Longbenton training ground from 7.30am, sometimes only heading home more than 12 hours later.
The seeds of his future career were sown when he was just a teenager at Real Madrid – and he still has his antiquated equipment, such as an old Commodore 64, that he used to compile his first managerial records.
